SOLA SOETAN, Music and I

In Nigeria, Music has found a home. Our artistes, have been/are being recognized in other parts of the world, we are A listed at shows, we are recipients of various  awards we can comfortably say the Nigerian Music industry is successful. Now the question is, Hpw well is the Nigerian gospel music industry doing? How well do Nigerian Gospel artistes fare? Well, the fact is, the Nigerian Gospel artistes are doing well! I have met and talked to a few of them since 2006 and I am impressed at the excellence of their music, the hard work put in with their music production, time, effort and of course Money!

Some Nigerian Gospel artistes have set themselves apart and gone to study to improve the quality of their music.

One of such is Sola Soetan. Some dudes make music sound like work, Sola makes music sound alive. I have heard him sing live and must say he has got a unique voice. Recently I met him again online and we got talking about his Music,

SOLA SOETAN is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, vocal coach and Church Music consultant.
As an artist he performs primarily gospel music with a few crossover tracks here and there because he's convinced believers are meant to influence the world with their gifts.
He is currently in the UK studying Music production at the prestigious Pointblank music school London, He strongly believes that knowledge enhances creativity, so he constantly and consistently seeks to learn more. Sola Soetan has been singing since the age of 10 and started singing professionally and organizing his own concerts since the age of 19!
He has played at various concerts, music events and TV shows at the local and international level. This year alone he's been part of:

He has worked and volunteered as consultant and music director at several churches and musical organizations in Nigeria and has provided vocals and lyrics for jingles and commercials for several Advertising agencies such as Insight communications (a foremost advertising firm in Nigeria).
Sola Soetan plays the keyboard, which is so cool. I love to see artistes that play and sing. He also has extensive experience in songwriting and arrangement.
He has been involved with several albums and singles for several artists.
Sola Soetan has received several awards for his song writing, singing, worship leading and creative enterprising skills.
He holds a certificate in creative entrepreneurship from the prestigious Lagos business school, a program that's an initiative of the British council in partnership with University of Glarmorgan, UK.

He recently just launched his album in the UK and is looking to come back home and working with other artistes. He hopes to use his knowledge  to enhance Music in Nigeria
